Better . . . in Time

Leona Lewis - Better in Time

The Bulwark of Our Freedom

"The stability of our republican institutions must depend upon the progress of general intelligence and virtue. If in these respects the nation falls, if general intelligence, public and private virtue, sink to that point below which self-control becomes practicably impossible, we must fall back into monarchy, limited or absolute; or into civil or military despotism; just according to the national standard of intelligence and virtue."
 ~Charles G. Finney, 'Lectures,' 1878.

Costly

The highest price we ever pay is the price we pay for failing to live up to our ideals.

So, still you grieve...

We've passed the decade mark and much has transpired in those years. Your little ones have continued to grow until they're not little, anymore. You've moved on and found the strength to resume your life, love your family, and excel in your work. But, those years ago...

And the tears still flow. You cannot help but wonder how different things might have been "if only...."

Now there's a tiny plot of earth forever sacred by reason of the precious love it holds. And there are a mother's thoughts, a mother's tears, a mother's dreams to adorn that place and stand vigil over the little slumbering one.

It doesn't ease your pain, it is powerless to dry your tears, but you are not alone. We have never forgotten. We have watched from afar. Our hearts still are broken and will be . . . until the day when tears are no more.
